Vejle - 6th National Session of EYP Denmark

The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is a non-partisan organisation, providing the next generation with a platform encouraging intercultural exchange and active citizenship among its members. EYP can be found in 40 countries where it host’s 300 events every year, involving 50-300 participants. EYP helps its participants to extend their knowledge about societal problems, while giving them the opportunity and necessary skills to voice their ideas. The conferences of the EYP are based upon the legal framework of the European Union, and the official language of EYP is English, thereby providing the participants with extensive knowledge about the European Union and allowing participants to express themselves in a foreign language. This creates an inclusive environment where young people from all corners of Europe can confidently express their personal views. The European Youth Parliament established a branch in Denmark in 2016, and since then EYP Denmark has hosted 5 successful national’s conferences, gathering more than 100 students every year from all over Denmark, including delegations from other European countries. Emphasising the 2024 elections, the 6th national session of EYP Denmark will build upon this legacy, aiming to engage young people in politics. The theme of the session will be “Embracing Today, Shaping a Sustainable Tomorrow”. Vejle 2024 will encourage participants to think outside the box and debate the importance of sustainability not just related to the climate crisis, but to all aspects of life, focusing on the long-term impact of today’s actions.
