AGENDA: Welcome (5/10 min) Join us as we kick off the event with a warm welcome. Discover the mission of Inter Alia and the European Civic Forum. Introduction (10 min) Unpack the concept of civic freedom with key facts and figures in the EU today, presented by the European Civic Forum. Gain insights into the vital role of civic engagement in shaping our societies. Brainstorming (15 min) Share your thoughts on democracy and explore the depths of civic space to build a collective understanding. Stories of civic Resistance (30/35 min) Embark on a journey of collective mapping! In breakout rooms, investigate and share local initiatives, movements, and actions resisting authoritarianism. Taking Back the Power (15 min) Explore the intersection of voting and reclaiming civic space with the European Civic Forum. Understand the power of vote as a civic action. Engage in a silent brainstorming session, listing your own pros and cons to voting. Conclusions (10 min) Wrap up the workshop with key takeaways and reflections.
