Pop the Vote Changemaker Events

Pop the Vote! Culture on The Ballot, a project by Culture Action Europe and co-funded by the European Parliament, works with 44 young artists and cultural workers aged 18-30 from Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden to not only get citizens to the voting booths in the upcoming European Parliamentary elections, but also to centre artistic expression, culture, and artivism at the core of community and democratic engagement. In February, the Changemakers visited Belgium for an immersive training on methods, ideas, and theories to engage their communities through arts-informed public actions of their own design leading up to the elections in June. Over the course of the next month, Changemaker events will be taking place all across Europe. The events will range from performances to workshops to debates to exhibitions.
